An accurate argument for you would be given how long it took to reach the 10 million milestone, Sony are not doing well.

The PS3 had many hurdles in front of it. Sony took a ton of risk this gen.
Early this very year people were saying that the system was doomed, Sony needed to leave the industry because they had lost touch with the consumer.
Year is almost over, Sony is breaking milestone after milestone everywhere and STAGE, what do you? You become a very ignorant person. Shitting on the accomplishments they have made. I find it hard to believe you have lost the meaning of common-sense.
Multiple posts don't make you look smarter or build any respect for you or what you say.
I for one have supported Sony/Playstation since '95. Because they have always provided me with the greatest experiences. I'm sick of people like you coming in to a place meant to celebrate the MILESTONE of the PS3. PlayStation 3 has been getting beaten down by people like you months before it launched.
So, please, do me and the rest of the people that want to celebrate this MILESTONE and get out.
| Adjudicator said: I will say it one more time, a milestone has less to do with greatness and more to do with progress. 10 million is progress from one million. By your reasoning they would only reach a milstone after selling 200 million units. This stupid as it gives no indication as to how well you are doing over a period of time. |
Since when did I say a milestone was about greatness? I said a milestone is progress beyond barriers or to mark a place you never thought you would reach. 10 million is progress from 1 million...but how long ago did Sony have one million in America? What?....the first couple hours or day of its launch? The only thing that slowed its sales was its price and that is why the game is changing today.

I agree, what Sony did with the PS3 was a risk. I'd also call it a sacrificing the videogame division. I never believed the PS3 was doomed, but my argument was that it wouldn't pass the 360 in the small window of time people were predicting which was less than three years.
*gets the cake that says 10 million in America and sets it on the table* Who wants to light the candles?
Also remember we are quickly approaching the 3rd birthday for the PS3 in Japan on the 11th, followed by America on the 17th. So lots of celebrations going on in the following weeks.

I didn't say what I thought you "liked". My perception is irrelevant, but it doesn't change the fact that YOU DON'T DO THIS in Microsoft threads. Nevertheless, the point has been made to you. You have made your point. You're basically in here to just cause trouble at this point. On that note, I'm done with arguing with you. It be more fun to bang my head on a wall... |
I've only celebrated milestone out of Microsoft which was praised.
1. Selling more than 25 million consoles (it's all time best last gen)
2. Selling one million in Japan (If they didn't get times exclusivity in Japan for JRPG's this would've never happened)
That is defying odds and marking a new beginning for a company in the business model. Name a milestone for Sony this gen besides putting Blu Ray over.

Now this is worth celebrating.
Still no answer...hmmmmm. There will never be one because it cannot be answered. I am finished with it because the argument against me is weak.
I'm always celebrating. I'm a fighter and a defender, but I also like being happy and gets pissed when someone tries to ruin it.
Anyhoe, who wants to setup the events list of upcoming things for PlayStation?
*walks over to the playstation step-sisters, PSP and PSP Go to chat*
S.T.A.G.E., all you are really doing is taking the negatives from a company you dislike (Sony), and all the positives for a company you are obviously obsessed over (Microsoft) and amplifying them to the extreme.
There was no reason for you come in here a totally derailed the tread the way you did, all of your arguments were biased and pampered/doctored to allow one to look bad and the other to appear good or perfect... in other words you are full of spin.
MS was embarrassed last gen with the XB, and so far this gen Sony's PS3 is getting ready to outsell them in "Other" after a year and a half head start, the PS3 remain very competitive in NA, and Japan was a total blowout for the 360, all the effort on the exclusive JRPG's did nothing, absolutely nothing.
The 360 is far from achieving any milestones, the only thing I can say they did good was getting out 1 year before Sony came to market, that 1 year head start is the only reason why they are leading, you can see this when comparing the PS3 and 360's LTD shipments.
