Is it any good?  I know years ago, it sucked for online gaming.  I pay about $100 a month for my home phone/internet package.  I NEVER use that house phone and the phone company won't offer an Internet-only package.  I'm thinking of switching to DirecTV's internet option.  I just don't want to lag when I play online.

My parents had it for a while (since they live in a small farm town where that's the only high speed available) and what they had sucked.

Cloudy days were extremely spotty and they were allowed only so much bandwidth per month. It was so bad they actually went back to AOL dialup.

I will not stand for bandwidth limitations! Guess I'll stick with my phone company.

If you think that Tv pictures suffer a 2 second delay going up to the satellite and back down so will your data.

Use if its the only option.

i had it for a while, but its no good for online-games, you always have a terrible ping

I feel your pain dude; I have great download speeds (about 20Mps) but CRAP upload and my ping for anyone outside of my immediate area is crap as well. Makes me want to slit my throat in Gears sometimes... Last night if I managed to hit someone with my shotgun 4 times before they hit me once, I'd survive.

Anyway, I digress, I have no other options besides road runner in my neck of the woods. :( I'd change if I could!
