Forums - Nintendo - Crystal Chronicles--Crystal Bearers: A hit or miss?

I don't know if its gonna be a hit or a miss. All I know is that I'm buying it.

Miss. The game looks and sounds awful.

It depends: if the average scores are under 80, it will kill the (small) hype and it will be a minor flop... but if the average scores are above 90, it will create a brand new hype and it will be a minor hit... :)

i still don't know what to think about it: it seems that efforts were made, and three years of development is always nice, but in the same time, the gameplay and the controls don't seem incredible... and Square has recently told about 15 hours of gameplay, which is not good in my book...

So i don't know if i'll buy it or not... if it's good but not amazing, i may wait and buy it in 2nd hand or when there's a price cut, so... wait and see, as usual with most 3rd parties Wii efforts...

It'll fall into that large crowd of Wii games that gradually eek over 1 million.

OK, so far the first day sales have been tallied, and the game has cleared about 26000 out of approximately 75000 copies.

Not a bad number by any means, but not outstanding either. Still, at least hearing that it did better than Mario & Sonic's first day sales the following week is decent news enough. I predict it'll get about 50K or so on its first week. Could it be higher? Sure. But it really could have been a LOT worse.

But that's still al good amount, especially in Japan.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

50k is nigh impossible for first week. Most of the time, first day sales are about 2/3 of first week sales. 40k would be the max for FFCC, but I'm guessing it will sell closer to 35k for the first week.

Hey mister negativity whats up?  Of course you'll have low projections for the game you just said it looked awful in your previous post.

I'd like this game to sell good but all that matters is I'm getting it and enjoying the hell out of it, looks like a fresh experience for an action adventure game.
