Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers

This is a hard one to predict I feel, it could end up doing really poorly, but it could go the other way also. I'm predicting it will be similar to how Tales of Symphonia 2 did on Wii compared to Tales of Symphonia on Gamecube. A similar first week, but shorter legs.
So First Week - 150k
LTD - 260k

First Week - 80-100K

LTD - 150-170K

It has a chance of being a big, break-out hit, or just a moderate success. I'll go with 500,000 LTD in Japan, I won't bother try to predict first week sales.

First Week - 150k

First week: 120k.

Lifetime: 300k.

500,000 just in Japan would be a big hit for this game. I think that for the first time there are several traditional appealing games releasing on the Wii  in the same time period (Crystal Bearers, Sengoku Musou 3, and Tales of Graces) will determine how well those games do. I.e, does having multiple titles convince "core" Japaneese gamers to pick up the Wii and get several of those games, or will those 3 titles just be competing for the existing "core" gamers on the Wii.

I think this game will find more of an audience in America than in Japan, but even so, here are my predictions:

120K -- First Week
300K -- LTD

Meaning that it probably won't be an extremely HUGE hit in Japan, but it'll be a modestly successful one. Of course, the worldwide sales will probably edge it at about 800K altogether or so. It depends how the public responds to the game. (Some NeoGAF guys are predicting only 75K LTD, and are already screaming it's going to be a bomb, but I don't think it'll do that badly.

On the other hand, I'm REALLY too afraid to return to these forums on the First Week sales.  I probably may need to stay away until January 2010.
