Ahh..there seems to have been a misunderstanding. While I was in College I did that. I have finished now, and I'm working for a company as Mechatronic Engineer
That's about as likely as me playing by somebody elses rules, which I would never do. I only play by my own rules, nobody elses...not even my own.
i'm doing a bachelor's degree in Forensic Investigation, and when i'm done i wanna do my masters degree in the same thing. thats the plan for now, at least.

So, Forensic Investigation is your major. It's the field you're trying to get a university degree in.

Major means you gotta pick something to specialise in. So if you are doing Engineering, you gotta pick like Electrical, Mechanical, Civil...etc. For Commerce, you have to choose like Coproprate Finance, Business Management, etc. I hope that explains it. I can go into more depth if you want.

Well, here works differently, I mean, the faculty I go in my uni is called Exact and Natural Sciences, and the only career about computers is computing science. There you can choose either get a half-degree, a degree or a degree for teaching, but it's only a branch towards the end of the career
ah, thanks. well, my degree will be in forensic investigation and at the end of it i get automatic entry into the Royal Chemistry Society, but next year i get to choose whether to follow the chemistry or the psychology route. not sure which i'll pick yet, though. a career in ballistics or explosives analysis sounds good to me

AH yes, forensic. I'm sure at least 100 people have made the CSI reference so far...Ballistic Analyst would be easier than Explosive, because Explosive requires a vats knowledge of different chemicals and reagants which combust, put together with a working knowledge of thermodynamics, while ballistic requires more physics and movements, also momentum and all that other Newton jargon.

we're learning the laws of thermodynamics just now, check this out.. its about the 2nd law. our lecturer actually made us watch this last week. twice. i still have a while to decide, and in the meantime i'll read up on my thermodynamic stuff o.0

Is a degree you can get if you did 4 years of the career, passing all the essential subjects. The full degree requires 6, and, of course, requires a thesis (which the half one doesn't), but it also requires more subjects including having certain points totalled from completing "optional" subjects
