Does anything think the current poll question is a little early?:

Two of those games aren't out yet and one of those only comes out this week. This question really should wait until late December at the earliest.

I agree. Also, from what I hear, the gaming press is also very excited about Rock Band. Maybe put the poll out after the games come out and replace Metroid Prime 3: Corruption with Rock Band?

Doesn't matter, the reviews have shown that all of these games are GOTY material. Besides, the vote really depends on your fanboyism, solely. Like Nintendo? Vote Galaxy. Like Microsoft? Vote Halo, or any of them really, they're all good. Like Sony? You only got one to choose from, ha ha ha!

Besides, we can just make a revised poll like this later with a different selection of games, or only a slightly different roster. 

Isn't this like "the predictions site" Ro... twesterm? IMO I don't see a problem with this, as I bet some people here haven't even played Bioshock or Halo 3 which have been released already. So it's the same.

My pick isn't even on there (The Orange Box).

And just to explain a little it's not fair to put games that are popular purely based on hype against games that people have actually played. Right now I would have to pick SMG because it's SMG. Hypewise and anticipation you just can't do better than the true successor to Mario 64.

If we're basing things on something people have actually played, then Bioshock of course, but as soon as you put that against Mass Effect, R&C, and SMG it doesn't stand a chance. I know Bioshock's flaws and shortcomings (and it does have both) while it would pain me to think of negatives about a game like SMG (especially since I've read nothing negative about it *ever*). So how could a wonderful game like Bioshock possibly stand against games like SMG, R&C, and Mass Effect which as far as we know are absolutely perfect and are everything we are told it is going to be?

 And I know this is a prediction site but my point is you can't mix prediction with games we've played.  They live in two completely different worlds.  It really doesn't matter that some people haven't played Halo 3 or Bioshock because the games are released and we know their flaws, we don't know a thing about the unreleased games flaws other than what reviews have said (and those don't even reveal all the flaws-- especially early ones).

Also as Entroper said, the poll simply doesn't have enough slots for viable GotY material.

 I'm sure you're only saying that because I bet it's your poll.  :-p

Well, I wanted ioi to make a poll asking who everyone's favorite is from the new mod bunch, but ioi didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings, so we settled on this.
