Ok, with the release of Wii Fit + into the market with BB and without, the standard Wii Fit continues to sell right behind it.  How is this so?  I even sold my copy of Wii Fit (game only) on ebay after purchasing Wii Fit + for $14.  + has everything like the standard Wii Fit has in and more so why would people still be buying the standard version?  Everyone thought Nintendo was shooting themselves in the foot killing off the first Wii Fit, but somehow they have manage to push both title in the top 20.

Wii Fit was #72 in the Americas and #62 in Japan last week.  Only place it is in the top 20 is Others where Wii Fit + hasn't come out.  Unless you are talking about the UK charts, which if it is anything like the US and Japan will drop severely in the next couple weeks.

I'm pretty sure once the old stock gets cleared out wii fit sales will go to zero.

I've heard from a local retailer that Nintendo will get Wii Fit discontinued and will only sell Wii Fit Plus.

I just saw an ad for Wii Fit -- at Aldi's.

For those unfamiliar with this international grocery store -- in the US it sells a lot of off-brand, over-stocked, and discontinued items. (It operates in Europe and Australia too -- but I don't know about what it does in those places).

So it getting the extra Wii Fits -- and selling them with a battery pack and mat for $100 -- fits its pattern.

it's probably people who haven't bought wiifit yet not seeing a wii fit plus w/ board bundle (only the game by itself) and getting the original wii fit and plus.

thats how it might be for me if i can't find that bundle soon.

If I were Sony or Microsoft I'd be calling hax.

I just wonder if WiiFit+ should count toward Wiifit sales as recently Wiifit was refereed to as a platform.

After I bought WiiFit+ game only, I sold my WiiFit game only (perfect cond in case w/ books) for $30 after shipping, etc.

In the end, I actually made $10 in my WiiFit+ purchase. :)

I think Nintendo is the only company ever release a peripheral that's considered a platform.
