OT: I doubt they'd do it too.

CGI there is a big difference between MS giving developers the option to control the in game chat functions of their products, and MS removing party chat, a huge difference. 

 

When I turn on my 360 and there is no option for party chat, then you can say "MS removes party chat".  But you should already know that and should not be defending the OP for an obvious hack article that he chose to link and throw out there as fact.

for competitive PC games you can block the ghosts to be stuck on a player of their team.... thus eliminating the cheating aspect of dead players talking.

On 360 I don't think you can....

Nuuu! Party chat is by far the best feature Live has over PSN in my opinion. I'm a frequent critic of the lack of Party Chat on PSN.

Did you not see the topic creator's response to the article? If not, you just wasted your time here, as he doesn't even believe it will happen.

well lets just let it go then cause we don't see eye to eye and I don't want it to be blown out of proportion.

No, the developers can just exclude it. How fun is a game of Search and Destroy if someone on your team is telling his friends where to find you're trying to go or stay? How fun is it to be teamed in a game with free for all like Halo 3?

He nailed his own coffin. He obviously isn't a 360 owner and wanted to post a bad article about the 360. You know very well that you would have point out the same thing if a 360 fan posted a negative article about the PS3. ~_n

He even ignored my comment, which most likely was true. This whole fiasco doesn't involve him, where Party Chat is nonexistant.

If they do remove the party chat, I'll just use the party chat, cross-game chat, private voice chat and voice messaging on PSN instead. Oh wait........

One game has the party chat disabled for certain modes where it could be used to cheat and all of a sudden it's "M$ are removing party chat!!" while the Sony Defence Force's fingers all cross at the same time in the hope that it's true.
