That's kinda misleading. Being that you're including handhelds, the generation started in 2004 when the DS launched. 5 FF games a year at that pace isn't all that bad.

I disagree..SqaureSoft actually atempted new stuff...and porting/remaking was DEFINITLY done at a lower degree then now, show me another gen GEN where 20+ plus FFs happened...or somewhere clost to there

Now, this is everything Square put out at the start of the PS2 generation on everything but the current generation consoles.

That's 18 without counting any of the FF XI expansions. The likelihood of receiving a remake goes up with time and with an eager DS RPG fanbase, it made absolute sense to put so many on the platform. There are a few more minor ones that I won't bother counting (2 more Chocobo cell phone games, etc.)

Well, more than half of that was done before Wada became CEO of Square Enix. This shouldn't matter all that much being Wada just carried over his title as President of Square, Co.

SE and SqaureSoft are which was point...Wada wasnt even part of my original equation..MM judt him up..that fiend... SqaureSoft atempted new things while upgrading old. now its FF: Something every 2 month
