Hmm, bugrimmar, it seems you're listing the wrong reasons to detract from the game though. I have no issue with you giving it 9.2, but as others have said, to give it this score based on the lacks you claim it has, is very weak.

no offense but nitpicking a story of fiction using logics of reality is utterly ridiculous. picking up every single small detail that no one else could care and make a deal outta it does not make you a good reviewer, it makes you a criticaster.

If 10 was perfection, no game in history would get a "10" simply because nothing is perfect. 10 is just an extremely enjoyable must-buy game IMO
OT:
Like others have said...your reason to subtract .8 out of the score is just weak. Im not saying it deserves a 10, but if it's a 9.2, those reasons just dont seem appropriate :P
Nice overall review tho, goodluck with the mag.
^ my reasons for giving it a 9.2 is basically that it doesn't deserve a 10 because there are things missing. so I calculated how much was missing based on that 10 band (it's just a calculation in my head), and decided that the story flaws, stealth problems, AI issues, game logic nitpicks, etc. was worth .8 negative.
isn't that a good thing already? all of that is just .8?
Those are some odd nitpicks. Pretty good review though.
I think the game was too short as well. Then again, that's because it was so good. If a game is very good, you want it to last a while
. I'm not too sure what main character in a video game isn't superhuman though and I thought the ending was actually quite good. I agree with the rest of your points. Good luck with the magazine btw.
Review seemed fair to me, i actually know exactly what you are talking about with regards to it feeling wierd killing so many people. It felt wierder in U:DF, i was far more used to it by U2, which was good because there is far more killing to be done :) Which i must say is also good. Although it feels alittle off for drake to be killing so many people the action is undeniably fun. I think this game's main aim is to be fun over factual.
Slightly off topic. One thing to keep in mind about review sites giving out 100's or equivalent (5/5, 10/10, etc) is that many sites that appear on Metacritic are rounded out worse than they should be. 80 is far worse than 4/5 when a reviewer is giving his reviews. Just as 4.5/5 is far better than a 90. Yet metacritic works everything out by 100. So these scores of 100 are needed to compensate for the unfair grading of lower scores.
I tell you how he got so good at killing all the baddies, he got all that skill from Uncharted: Drakes fortune, look how many guys i killed in that game lol.
Problem solved!
And you never once replied to anyone who shot you down on the game being too short bro. Care to explain it a little further?
I agree, your score is fine, but your justifications for it just seems a bit odd. But good luck on the magazine anyways =D

Well, it would've been rather weird to detract a lot for the alleged flaws it has. Stealth is the way it is so it remains enjoyable, story flaws are negligable, game logic is weird (unless you think it's okay for people to shoot down HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE amounts of aliens, just because "he is a marine" is logical or people getting superpowers after being a blastzone :s Don't push the boundaries of fictions into reality).
I gave it a 9.2 based on its multiplayer (since that isn't the best of the best). If that was insanely good as well, the game would've crept into 9.5 9.6 territory for me, but I wouldn't have docked points because of "he only gets shot once, while shooting others millions of times" (especially since there are titles out there that are WAY worse than that and you'd have to deduct points for every review you'll ever make with this point. I'm looking forward to seeing your review of NSMB Wii, as it is insane for people to jump into pipes without knowing what is going to happen ;))
couple spoilers in that, should label as such.
