I was gonna say way too high to SuperAdrianK, but Soriku kinda already did and posted predictions that seem more realistic so I'll just quote his post and go "This." |
What can I say... Im bad at predicting when it comes to Nintendo :P

Nintendo are an industry unto themselves-even with declining sales this year.
I doubt they care about winning over the gaming media. But it would be nice to see Nintendo's first party titles get the recognition they deserve. I have no doubt this'll be the case for the titles you've mentioned. The gaming media don't have a problem with Nintendo's 'core' titles. They just have a problem with the more mainstream Nintendo games, like NSMB Wii or Wii Sports Resort. There's also the perpetuation of the "Nintendo abandoning the core" story that helps online gaming sites generate hits.
Every year Nintendo 'wows' the Media with new footage of their hit games, from Zelda to Mario to Metroid to their new projects. But after about a month, they revert back to their old standards of throwing jabs and 'witty remarks' at Nintendo.
Its a cycle that's been going on since the early Game Cube years and it probably won't stop until Nintendo either comes out with a system that captures the majority of third party support...or dies (and we all know the second option has an extremely small chance of happening.
I hope my prediction is correct and next gen Nintendo will have a more graphically powerful system that is appealing to third parties in the same way XBOX360 was this gen. Though I don't know if they'll even join up then, as they skipped the GameCube. Many reviewers and third parties just don't like Nintendo for whatever reason, even now when its clearly the top system.
I think we need the video game media to consist of normal folk rather than whiny, crying fanboys before there can be a big change in the way nintendo are perceived...
A normal person wouldn't have sleepless nights, bitch and moan if a game like wii sports resort outsold their favourite fps!

Which leaves so far Goldeneye, Half-Life, Halo 1-3, and Gears 1 & 2 if you count TPS. Any that I missed?
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Even if there is, its just incremental upgrade on what PS360 have like bigger specs than PS360 but not that much. And HD will not forced into you but its optional. Thats what I think on what the new console will be and we wont see it till late 2011 early 2012. When the 2 HD consoles were exchaust and surrendered to the casuals
end of core gaming days prediction:
E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced
E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.
E3 2010- Tape runs out

If nintendo one day puts super graphics in their console, in a moderate price... it would get bashed at because they will say "they focus to much graphics then gameplay"...
THATS how much hate the video game critics and gamers have for nintendo
WHY... idk... ask one of them... maybe they'll be honest.

Pretty much. This is what they did on the GameCube. While at the same time obsessing over the XBOX's graphics and scoring PS2 games higher on Graphics.
Its funny how when a Sony system does it, stuff like Presentation and art direction makes its way into graphics to increase the score. But when a Nintendo system is involved with anything, everything is cut and dry 'there was bad textures and the graphics were weak compared to the graphics on 'X' game on XBOX/PS2'.
Now that the Wii is involved, its just been accented even worse as they think Nintendo 'sold out' on the Graphics.
