One thing we know for sure, is that people will complain about Nintendo's E3 2010. After the reaction from 09 was scarcely less negative than that of 08 (despite the fact that 09 blew 08 out of the water and into the sky), i think there's literally nothing Nintendo could do to "win" an E3 in terms of hype anymore, since the media will take the wind out of their sails.

 

Nintendo need to stop making videogames and just splurge and make a Zelda animatronic bonanza like in E32006. That'll satisfy the press.

In my opinion, the gaming media in general has written Nintendo off. Nintendo has done the unforgivable: Brought gaming to the non-gamers, and their cherished hobby, once the realm of Teens-twenties men now sees women, adults, and even the eldarly making up nearly the same market share. SMG2 = awesomeness

Metroid Other M = awesomeness

Zelda = awesomeness

In terms of sales, those 3 will do better than all the games combined of Xbox and PS3. It will be a great year for the Wii: 3 big licenses in one year.

Nintendo was already written off the day the N64 came out as a "kiddie" company. They can never win. I recall when Forza 1 came out for the orginal Xbox IGN ran a story showing off Zelda themed player cars and they said "This shows Nintendo where their fanbase has gone" or something but now? "NINTENDO IS ABADONING ITS FANBASE!zOMG!"

2010 looks like the bet year for Nintendo in a while. SMG2, Metroid Other M, and Zelda should all be AAA quality games. I'd still like to see Pikmin 3 thrown into the mix, that would make for one incredible 2010 year to say the least.

If Nintendo puts the right marketing behind these games all have the potential to be massive sellers. What happened to the "Wii would like to play commercials" they worked so well.

Shut up, really. Nintendo never abandoned his fanbase. You're abandoning Nintendo, it's not the same thing. I'm still with Nintendo and I love their games.

Xbox 360 always offer the same thing = FPS and fighting games

and PS3 is pretty much the same. I don't love Ratchet and Clank. I don't love Fallout 3 or Killzone 2. I prefer Metroid Prime 3 on the Wii.

Metroid Other M is really a great new for me. I'm really looking forward this game. Stop bitching Nintendo, it gets really awful. They are doing their possible to satisfy non-gamers and you that always complains on them. If the Wii was like the PS3 with the same games, how could they sell so well?

Seriously, stop. I'm tired of your comments. Realize what Nintendo is trying to do for you. They don't rest on their laurels and wait 'til someone brings a game, OK?

Pikmin 3 is actually due for a release in 2010. And Nintendo will announce many great things in 2010.

Remember what happened to Nintendo : many core titles on the N64 and GC, poor sales. And you're expecting them to do tons of core games? Seriously... kind of pathetic.

Wait for New Super Mario Bros Wii and YOU WILL SEE THAT THEY DID NOT ABANDONED GAMERS. This game will rock. This is a 2D Mario game with tons of new features!

@ shadowD - SMG2 and M:OM are almost certain for 2010, I doubt they will be delayed. Zelda has no release date, which I why I said in the OP that 2010 might see the release of Zelda. It is entirely possible that Zelda will be in 2011

Team Ninja isn't going to hurt Metroid any more than Retro Studios did. The director of Other M is the same man who directed Prime, and Super Metroid, and Zero Mission, and so on.
