Forums - Sales - Wii back atop the PS360

If it happened once, it could happen again.

Certainly, there is a better chance of the Wii getting to 50% market share than it dropping below 45% (or 40%) -- as was predicted by some people here.

Plus, the Wii does have probably the most anticipated software that will be out in time in all markets to make a difference -- NSMBW. (FF XIII may be more anticipated by some -- but it will be out two weeks this year in Japan and not in any other region).

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

Wii is back on top in sales... good stuff.

But even the most die hard Wii owner can't brag that its on top of the gaming food chain this holiday season. Console will sell...but yeah, thats about it.

I could. Would you lik me to? It souonds like a challenge, and I do love those!

NSMB Wii alone puts Wii on the top of the food chain.

After Xmas 2008 Wii went very seldom over 50% weekly share, its current trend is to stay first, but under 50% (spikes help a little, but only staying almost constantly over 50% it can reach this goal, it's pure and very simple maths).

Maybe in your view, but for me Wii is delivering more gaming goodness than my 360 this holiday. I will be enjoying Little King's Story, Muramasa, Metroid Prime Trilogy, WSR, NSMB Wii, and FF:Crystal Bearers this holiday for Wii. Meanwhile for my 360, the only game that I'm looking forward to basically the entire rest of the year is Modern Warfare 2.

I'd say a solid gain this holiday season is a distinct possibility, though it depends on whether the PS3 sees a much stronger holiday this year or not (it will in Japan, obviously, but the question is how much better of a holiday will the Slim provide it elsewhere?). 360 i think will be more or less flat with where it was last Christmas

I did predict their last marketshare gain (their push to 49%) quite well, but there are a lot more variables this time.
