So you're saying the difference is normal beacause vgc tracks North America and NPD only USA, and you find normal that VGC is under 50k despite counting USA AND Canada...

who said NPD is right? I've seen publishers claim that NPD can be wrong by up to 20%. (and I'm too lazy to track that quote down)

I find the difference normal because VGChartz lands within the weekly accuracy that they expect and constantly corrects their numbers as new numbers come in (like financial results or more stores report sales).

Munkeh11 implies it.

Excuse me but I find weird that VGC is under by 50k whereas they are counting Canada in extra.

I am not complaining I just give my opinion.

Oh, I don't disagree that it is strange, just saying it isn't imposible for it to be right.

NPD is a great service, and I'm not nocking it either, just that VGChartz is a great free service that provides what it promises. Numbers that get more accurate as time goes on and are capable of providing trend information. I personally don't care how close we are to NPD so long as we are constantly improving.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
In the past we played games. In the future we watch games. - Forest-Spirit

I thought the difference was around 50k with the preview, but as far as I know these numbers are already corrected for containing other countries already.

I feel as if the site is undertracking PS3, or underestimating the slim which causes estimates to end up lower than the numbers from the more accurate trackers, at least in Japan. I'm sure things will be corrected though.

Is Canada part of North American now?

Anyway, VGChartz tracks all of the Americas to the best of it's abilities.

All of the services might be slightly off. Maybe VGChartz is off more than the expensive ones that don't provide as much info. I don't know. What I do know is that VGChartz is good enough for me.

All I know is we are on VGC, and if you don't like the numbers, well there are plenty of other sites you can go to instead
