Imports are the answer to moronic censorship. Australia is definitely not the place to live in if you are a video gamer.
I call upon Australian VGChartz members to boycott the Australian video game market and import the games instead.
So the Australian censors will edit out the blood in all games. lol.

Left 4 Dead 2 was recently banned and now Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is banned.
Video game censorship is so lame. Young people are much more influenced by watching tv shows and movies that are a lot more violent than animated video game violence. Why not ban a lot of tv shows and movies instead?

MW2 is not banned in Australia. The Australian Council on Children and the Media calling for the game's MA15+ to be reconsidered via the media. First they have to officially appeal the desiciion with the OFLC and then they will review it. The outcome of that review could result in a change of classification, effectivly banning that game.

Given that the game passed as is, I very much doubt that the desicion will be overturned, presuming it gets appealed in the first place. This is just a case of a lobby group trying to get some exposure.

Fuck the Australian Council of Children, while I'm sure they do some great work, they know jack all when it comes to video games.

The game isnt going to be banned, its just another lobby group highlighting the evil of video-games and how all children must be saved from said evilness.

This is stupid, really really stupid.

So the gaming industry must suffer again because parents can't control kids and the government refuses to talk about an R18+ rating for games.

Ah well, luckily I'm a PS3 owner (and therefore region free... though online will suffer if it's similar to MW1 or W@W).
