MW2 is not banned in Australia. The Australian Council on Children and the Media calling for the game's MA15+ to be reconsidered via the media. First they have to officially appeal the desiciion with the OFLC and then they will review it. The outcome of that review could result in a change of classification, effectivly banning that game.
Given that the game passed as is, I very much doubt that the desicion will be overturned, presuming it gets appealed in the first place. This is just a case of a lobby group trying to get some exposure.
