60-80hours? for SM64?

I finished it in just over 30 hours.

The number sounds about right for me but I'd never finished a Mario game before.

It wasn't as if I were rushing or anything.... SM64 about 31 hours for 120 stars, Galaxy I did 120 stars in 28 hours, 242 stars in 48 hours.

Maybe not rushing, but definitely faster than me.

But then I would go back and do some stars over and over and over.

Just remember how great was Mario 64. Why did we stop using ''bit'' to describe a console's power? Change in technology?

erghh too many numbers would ahve to be used

I mean aren't we in like the 10000 bit gen or something?

Downloading Mario 64 from the VC tonight! Thanks for posting this. I read about this unveiling in EGM, way back then. It took me well over a decade, but finally, I get to see it. Awesome.

This makes me remember what it was like playing that game for the first time after playing an NES and a Genesis for my whole life.

You young ones can't possible understand what it was like. I spent hours... HOURS.... just climbing trees.

Best 3D Mario.

Honestly, just the music was amazing. What little was in that video tops everything in SMG.

@makingmusic

no way!

sMG = best 3D mario

the variety & wonder when you went into each universe combined with the amazing graphics & stellar music is too good!

I disagree. Space is boring, though some of the levels had beautiful settings (<3 the water levels), and I'm not sure why, but the game just didn't seem as fun as either SM64 or SMS.

I bet that was completely revolutionary at the time. It's such a huge step up from SNES and to a lesser extent, Playstation.

N64 was more powerful then the playstation

hello how are you.
