One vote (and usualy random) isn't anything special.
I mean the cult was balanced the last game already, now they improved it in every possible way.

No, trash only can, but y'know, recruits are usually consensuated, thus the "we"
I don't think it was that bad. The town got 2 cops, 2 doctors, a lie detector, Mario, Kirby, a Salvager, a Bomb, a Paranoid Sword Owner, etc. etc. The mafia got the Temptress, a Mafia Doctor, a Framer, a hitman, a roleblocker.
And trashleg would have died if she tried to recruit bad guys of course.
The town just had the bad luck to lose some of its best members early on (BOTH doctors night one!!!) IMO.
Of course, if trashleg had recruited, say, Mario, it might have been worse. But what actually happened was that she recruited one person that did NOTHING, and two people that simply moved people around, and the messenger whose only power was apparently talking to the town once a day anonymously. So I don't think it was too game unbalancing to keep our powers.
P.S. I think Son1x deserves kudos for living that long as an outed cop with no doctor.

What was carl's power? I know he was responsible for the messages, but what exactly could he do?
I still think its unbalanced.
The last game also had lots of power roles. The cult was a lot weaker (couldn't kill, less recruitable candidates, started with 1, noone kept the powers. They could even kill AND recruit the same night). The town got unlucky at start and we weren't revealed until later on. And we (hardly) won. We also made quite a lot of mistakes.

Oh yeah, and we got the guy who could send the town a message, that certainly was an overpowering advantage
