Because they knew people would buy it as long as it has the word "Tekken" on the box.
Its very simple boys, See the PS3 can do something called AFT, (Advanced Floor Textures) which nearly resemble Crysis level graphics, but the Xbox 360, and they had to tone it down for the 360.
damn, I haven't played it. but the previews made it seem pretty damn good looking.
I havn't bought a fighting game since soul calibur on dreamcast. And tekken hasn't been good since tekken 3. The problem with fighting games is they are generally ported from the arcades, which unlike in the 80's & 90's (which were the arcades golden days), arcade games look rather crap in comparison to consoles.
maybe they focused on gameplay rather than graphics? some people do that you know

Tekken5DR: Online looks pretty awesome. It's also 1080p60.

Was there ever a time when Tekken looked good? Seriously, those chicks are fugly compared to the Sc girls.
