"They will know heghan belongs to the helghast"

"England expects that everyman will do his duty"

"we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender"

But is it common to this extent? I can imagine a lot people claiming their child has this or that to gain a few extra benefits, that would be very common. But this is an insane level of fraud.

Yeah, lets all pay attention to a clear cut Muchausen's case. That is clearly the best course of action. Better to edit out all the names from any story, and run them quietly where they won't garner all that much attention.

Oh noes.  Look out everyone.  Gnizmo learned a new word off this week's episode of House.

Huh? I thought it wasn't as gut-wrenching as you made it out to be.

I've read estimates of like... 625 children a year in the US because of it.

Other then that it's hard to predict because it's hard to prove but it could be VERY substantial.

I don't think House has ever dealt with it in a case where the person uses someone else. Picked it up via a psyh background.

@Highwaystar
Define to this extent. Getting these kind of results is exceedingly rare obiously. I would not doubt it happens to this level of cruelty very commonly. A horrific numbr of infants die to these kind of antics. Of course I think 1 a year is a horrific number, and can't recall the hard numbers off-hand.

What I find weird is how she thought she would get away with this? It just isn't possible. The kid would eventually grow up and realize how he wasn't sick.
