This game just came out and the original painkiller was absolutely awesome and fantastic. Is this game as good or better? It's on PC only so it's either horribly bad or horribly awesome, hopefully the latter. Anyone?

Alright so I grabbed this and it is just like the previous Painkiller except more badass. If you want to know what that means, basically there is no story, just you with some weird and awesome guns vs thousands of demon things (wich hasve horrible AI) and some extremely epic boss fights, as in they are skyscraper sized bosses.

Overall this is what I wanna do when I get a shooter for the sake of shooting, go in shoot and not bother with any other bullshit. No choosing which weapons to carry, not slowed down by story (2 min intro and then 20 secs and you are knee deep in demons), and just badassery abounds, as well as some truly freaky levels.

I have the first Painkiller and liked it. I think i´m gonna get PR, after reading your post.

Did I mention the badass multiplayer AND 4 player co-op? Yeah.... now you can annihilate demons with buddies!

Now that I'm all done with it and got in on the MP.

Mp is fast and arcade style, SP only has 5 levels, each of which is about 45-60 mins long. There have been some bugs and awkward stuff but steam was downloading a patch r two earlier. For any new buyers I'd hold off until everything is patched up before buying it.

I'll probably buy it once I build a new rig - mine is about right for running the original but that's it.

If you run the original you should be able to run this. However I d recommend until patching is done, keep your ear on this one until then.
