Forums - Sony - My girlfriend got Uncharted 2 for me yesterday..

I wasn't going to get it coz I didn't like Uncharted 1 and I knew this was going to be a short game, but I'm glad she got it for me.

1.) There's no doubt, this is the prettiest game I've ever seen on a console.

2.) The AI feels kinda odd when stealthing. They seem to just stare at one direction indefinitely.. normal mode though. Is it different in the harder setting? And it feels rather difficult to die..

3.) The seamless transition between scripted encounters (i.e., train falling) and gameplay is very entertaining and keeps you involved in the storyline (unlike Metal Gear's cutscenes, where you can put the controller down for a half hour).

4.) Some random weird motions happen frequently when Nate jumps, like in some long ones, it seems he won't make it, but he does, and the graphic just kinda shifts his body unnaturally.

Haven't tried online yet. Is it any good?

He does seem to glide sometimes when going for long jumps. Better like that than dropping to your death 17 times because you're not entirely at the right place.

Enemies will normally keep their standard routine (they have to give you SOME chance of stealth kills though :p), but will start investigating when something has gone wrong though.

Online can take a while to set-up, is enjoyable, but not as perfect as the singleplayer.

Cool yeah online is very good. Haven't played alot of it yet.

Yeah, the AI when stealthing isn't really great, but it does get a little tougher on later difficulties. At least on Crushing I found them to be more aware, but only a little really.

And the online is good fun, quite well made. And I don't even like online MP normally.

Yep, point 4 was also quite evident in Uncharted:Drake's Fortune. The jump range has quite a forgiving tolerance and the game bends the "correct" physics.

It's a bit odd to look at, but a correct gameplay choice in my opinion.

What WereKitten said. It is much more used in Drake's Fortune though, and I was quite happy to see that they cut down on it in Among Thieves, as it makes for a few awkward moments.

Great to hear you got the game. If you are really having issues dying, go into crushing. You come out of cover for 5 seconds and you are dead.

Tell your girl friend to buy me one too.
