If they released the kingdom hearts 3 on the wii, would it really sell over 3 million copies like it's predecessors (KH 5.50m KH2 3.7m)?

wii's top sales-list is made of casual 1st party games and exercise/party-games. the best non-nintendo game/party game is lego starwars which sits at 2.82m.

If Square-Enix takes the risk of releasing on the wii I would speculate it would barely sell 3m copies in it's life time, while it could even double that on ps3.

Though I'm fine with the series ending on KH2 if they never want to make a third game. Who knows they might release it on the ps3 and release a wii-version later.

Epic Mickey - Dark n gritty, potentially not overly kid friendly. Scary in parts. Targeted at Western audiences where the Wii's marketshare is lower

KH3 - Light n happy, kid friendly (although that's not to say it's no fun for older people). Not scary, targeted at the west and Japanese

2 of Japan's 3 biggest 3rd party rpgs abandoned PS3 for the Wii. The other went multiplat with the 360. Why would the 4th biggest stay PS3 exclusive?

why the hell would you think DQ10 was moneyhatted? They have every reason to put it on the wii. Do you honestly think it's gonna sell considerably more copies on PS3? It would have to just to cover the extra development costs. In reality the PS3 version would be lucky to outsell the wii version at all, but even if it did it would have to outsell it by a considerable margin to cover costs. Do you think MH3 would have sold more on PS3? It's hard to imagine it would have, outselling it by enough to cover the extra costs is extremely unlikely if you ask me. That game is more hardcore than DQ, DQ is actually popular with casuals too. Then there is obviously the userbase issue in Japan. DQ9 has outsold the PS3, sure DQ10 won't sell as much as 9 but it's gonna need a ridiculous attach rate to be successful on the ps3.

It all depends on how Epic Mickey and Crystal Chronicles do. While KH's disney side may appeal to younger gamers keep in mind the story, setting and atmosphere of the games are definitely is somewhat older?

personally I don't see it happening this gen, with Square waiting to see how Software sells on the next market leader and which demographics the leader sells the best to. Gen 8 here we come

i think it going Ps3 only.

story driven all other game on ps2. i expext them to make a god of war collection with KH.
also they have not once choice any main system other then playstation for KH main games.

Didn't Nomura get pissed off because the PS2 held him back during KH II's dev? I remember reading that he was mad because he had to cut content so it could fit on the disc, and couldn't do certain features because PS2 couldn't handle it.

So i'mma go with PS3.

@johnsobas:  It is theoretically possible that MH3 would've sold better on ps3 than Wii. 1. Given development cycles, it would've likely released around or after FFXIII, and 2. given the prevalence of ps3/psp connectivity these days, it's likely a ps3 version of MH3 would've tied heavily into the inevitable MH3P (possibly having your character carry over between the two or something), potentially increasing the sales of both titles. There's also the whole Classic Controller thing that wouldn't have been an issue on ps3, though that likely mattered little.

With DQX, it could go either way (though I expect DQX to sell less than DQIX), and I think it's unlikely the game was moneyhatted.
