@johnsobas: It is theoretically possible that MH3 would've sold better on ps3 than Wii. 1. Given development cycles, it would've likely released around or after FFXIII, and 2. given the prevalence of ps3/psp connectivity these days, it's likely a ps3 version of MH3 would've tied heavily into the inevitable MH3P (possibly having your character carry over between the two or something), potentially increasing the sales of both titles. There's also the whole Classic Controller thing that wouldn't have been an issue on ps3, though that likely mattered little.
With DQX, it could go either way (though I expect DQX to sell less than DQIX), and I think it's unlikely the game was moneyhatted.
