They WANT THE PS3 to be sucessful, the ps3 is the best machine, but can they make it the BEST GAMING MACHINE?

Forget the pr talk there is a contract in place, its PS3 only thats it end of story.

wow. I guess that sums it up. I always figured it would eventually get ported. But, unless it bombs on the PS3, I don't think it will ever see a 360 port.

Also, what would define 'bombed' for MGS4? >1m, >2m?

Konami is without a doubt Sony's biggest supporter. They've kept most of their big titles on the PS3 and have put only token effort on the other consoles as far as I'm aware of.

This is in contrast to Capcom who is getting pretty far from Sony with all their 360 and Wii support. Square is half way between them where they're still having FF13 on PS3 but all their other big names are starting to move off the PS3 like Last Remnant and FF:CC.

"We want the success of the Playstation 3" another way of saying that they want the PS3 to sell better? Sounds like a bit of an odd statement otherwise. But let's wait and see, as always.

The success of their game is certainly more important than the success of PS3 for Konami.

Either way nothing would be said before the game's release. And it's probably so tied to the PS3 that even if they did a 360 port it'd take a year and look like crap so it wouldn't really matter anyway.

 Its arguable that the new FF:CC on the wii IMO has much more production value than the FF:CC on the GC.  They put much more effort behind it than they would otherwise.  Plus, DQ9 being on the DS instead of PS3 was another big example.

MGS4 moving to the 360 could potentially be a huge blow to the PS3. Not even Sony could overlook that. MGS4 will stay on the PS3 as long as it performs well. If it completely bombs on the other hand...

Less than 3,000,000 = Bomb.

But anyway, Konami doesn't has to worry about that. MGS4 is like the Halo3 of PS3... almost every singe owner of the console is going to buy this game (minus the 11-14 yo range, except leo-j). PS3 is gonna be at around what... 7,000,000 when it's released, so I expect at least 4,000,000 certain buys.

I'm still hoping for it to appear on the PC tho :)
