This may only be for certain parts or weaps, dont the halo games have 3rd person for the heavy weaps?

If I had to guess this is a PC version and he changed the option to 3rd person. I used to do it on Quake III Arena out of boredom. Its not necessarily an option in the game but you can manually change the view. I don't see this being available in the console versions nor is it really supposed to be played like this.

If true, this game went from a rental to a buy for me. Although I must say the Third Person looks very boring.

Yes this happens in Halo but only with large weapons, don't see that here.

If the Third person mode had a cover system of some saught and better animations then it would have been a good idea. As it is First person is better for this gem but i can see some people enjoying 3rd better.
