@ huaxiong: just like everyother self respecting gamer :P

no no no I LOVE castlevania but why oh why did Konami have to drop the angled shot with the chain? I find it so annoying having to jump and then lash the chain either forwards or backwards but not top-right or back-left! Super Castlevania IV snes played the best castlevania to date IMO

"...the best way to prepare [to be a programmer] is to write programs, and to study great programs that other people have written. In my case, I went to the garbage cans at the Computer Science Center and fished out listings of their operating system." - Bill Gates (Microsoft Corporation)

"Hey, Steve, just because you broke into Xerox's house before I did and took the TV doesn't mean I can't go in later and take the stereo." - Bill Gates (Microsoft Corporation)

Bill Gates had Mac prototypes to work from, and he was known to be obsessed with trying to make Windows as good as SAND (Steve's Amazing New Device), as a Microsoft exec named it. It was the Mac that Microsoft took for its blueprint on how to make a GUI.

""Windows [n.] - A thirty-two bit extension and GUI shell to a sixteen bit patch to an eight bit operating system originally coded for a four bit microprocessor and sold by a two-bit company that can't stand one bit of competition.""

try retro gaming, you'll have loads of fun and understand the despise some people have for newer games...

Well, to be fair Simon did find out how to whip in 8 different directions from an old book (according to the manual). I'm supposing none of the other Belmonts found this book, or could be bothered with reading it.

ok i think the next one will be symphony of the night, everyone loves it!, then I think Either dawn of sorrow or aria, aria being harder to find :)

You MUST play Symphony of the Night. Best one ever.

When playing SOTN remember this... if you unlock the games greatest secret, you will DOUBLE its length. That secret is easy to miss so I suggest play through it once...and if the game ends with an ending that doesn't seem very setisfactory...look up a guide on how to unlock this secret.

You can always load your last save and do whats needed to unlock this.

The game is truly amazing though. I've beated the game about 8 times...and am still finding out shit. So many secrets and weapons to play around with...

I can play the game over and over again just so I can listen to "Lost Painting" (you know, the one that plays in the upside down library among other places). One of the most genius soundtracks in a game ever.

Castlevania III and SOTN are probably my favorite soundtracks ever, along with Secret of Mana and (this will seem out of place!) Jet Grind Radio.
