Japanese Final Fantasy XIII Boxart Revealed

What appears to be the complete Japanese boxart for Final Fantasy XIII appears to has leaked onto the web with the final boxart being identical to the art shown next to a special edition console at TGS 2009.

While we're not certain this is the final art, we've fired off an email to Square Enix reps in both the US and Japan - and as soon as they answer we'll update this story. Stick up to date with our RSS Feed and Twitter!

If this is the final box art and not exclusive to the version of the game bundled with the Lightning Pink PS3 console it will be the first main FF to launch with any boxart other than the game logo on a white background in Japan.

I think it looks very good. Very fancy.

I personally hate it.

White background, female Cloud, Belts and Zippers on the horse, bastardization of a summon, etc.

It looks pretty good. Don't know If I'd rather want this or the traditional with a logo on a white background like my other FF-games though. Always thought it looked more classy than the american boxarts :P

Lightning on Odin's Horse looks wrong IMO, it should only be Odin who rides it.

White backgrounds are common for Final Fantasy boxarts.

Yea.. but I still don't like the feel of it.

damn, hoped to get the thirteenth game with just a white background and the title in the series. (Europe had the same as japan since.. uh, dont know, since 7.)

I agree, only Odin should be able to ride his Horse. I would have loved to see Odin on it...I hope he will be in the game.
I always enjoyed the summons in the FF series.
