Forums - Sales - PS3 has outsold Xbox 360 by 1 MILLION Since PS3 Slims Launch!

Microsoft is not going to drop the price again this year, but they probably will next year. I'm still sure they are working on and XBox 360 Slim as well, which will most likely be bundled with Natal. I doubt Sony will do anymore price cut until 2011. They are still losing money on the PS3 Slim right now.

360 just had a price cut and it barely helped. What makes you think dropping price again and taking even more losses will help anything?

There wasn't a price cut exactly. They just got rid of the $400 model. Now the $300 model has different colored plastic and a bigger hard drive.

You can't expect that to have a big impact on sales.

isn't that what sony did with the ps3?

That's pretty impressive.

The gap will shrink quite a bit more this Holiday.

Well, if you consider COMPLETELY revamping the system's look and and altering functions (cooler, quiter, less power consumption) "the same", then yes. Otherwise, no it isn't.

Aside from that, the 360 already had a $300 model and even a $200 model.

The recent PS3 price drop made it the cheapest its ever been and finally reasonably priced for the masses.
