from the looks of it, it looks like FF14 will be out before FF versus 13. If Nomura say that they'll tried to get FF versus 13 ready to show by E3 next year, it won't realistically happen until E3 2010, and the game won't be out until 2011. By that time, I've already be winding down from the playing FF14.
14 will come first, because it will be released in 2010, according to their website.

Still don't understand why Square called gave FF11 a number. Should have called it FFOnline. And now FF14 would be FFOnline2.
Also note that FF11 came out before FFX-2 in Japan, so its been done before.

yea agreed. not sure what Square's intentions were to give it a number.
The numbered ones tend to sell much better than the spin-offs. So they would have made (much) less money from naming them FF: online then FF XI
