Forums - Nintendo - The Best 3rd Party Games on the Wii (Now and Upcoming)

A common argument I've been hearing over and over again is that all third-party Wii titles are bad.  Yes, there is plenty of so-called "shovelware" on the system, but I can think of several third-party titles which I confess to enjoying on the system and others I am very much looking forward to.  I'd like to name some of the Wii 3rd party titles I loved:

Klonoa

Cursed Mountain

Tales of Symphonia:  Dawn of the New World

Broken Sword

Rune Factory Frontier

Zack & Wiki

No More Heroes

Bully:  Scholarship Edition

Okami

Little King's Story

That may be many compared to the majority of the third party titles, but I feel that games like these are strong proof that there are such things as "exceptions" to the rule that all 3rd-party Wii games are bad.  In fact, there are other upcoming third-party titles I'm REALLY looking forward to, some released in Japan and are coming here, others on their way.

Tales of Graces

Dragon Quest X

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles

Arc Rise Fantasia

Fragile

Silent Hill:  Shattered Memories

All those titles should be solid, entertaining stuff.

That said, anybody wanna list the best 3rd party games on the Wii right now and others they're looking forward to?

3rd party games on Wii are overlooked and sometimes underrated because of all the shovelware that buries it and the high profile Nintendo games that overshadow it. But at least half of the Wii games I own are from 3rd parties. There are actually some great ones, you just gotta look. My favorites are Zack and Wiki, Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz, The Conduit (at least the online portion), Mad World, and RE4.

RED STEEL 2 has to be at the top of the list because it actually looks like a blockbuster title.

I thought the best games this year were third party games. Muramasa: The Demon Blade, Little King's Story, A Boy and his Blob, etc. Plus the year is not over yet as we still have Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Picollo (just released) and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars.

No doubt there's more to come, with possibly one of the best games on the Wii or even this gen coming near the end, Dragon Quest X.

Six upcoming games you should look into:

Add Valhalla Knights to the list

Nintendo is the best videogames company ever!

Personally I'm waiting for 'Rabbids Go Home' and 'No More Heroes 2'(desperate struggle)...and RE:DARK CHRONICLE's

This year I have purchased Overkill, Madworld and LITTLE KINGs STORY (nuffin wrong with any of them)

Most of my wii games are 3rd party .... House of the Dead, Madworld , Guilty Gear, Zack and Wiki and a lot more ... the deal is people dont buy games apart from Nintendo ones because Nintendo makes excelent quality games and has very good characters, and are scared of other producers, stop tjinking that way and buy 3rd party.... very soon buying Muramasa, Dead Space and Silent Hill
