Forums - Gaming - the iPhone Recommendation Guide

iPhone games suck hard. I wouldn't pay a cent for 99% of the apps that are available. And the 1% that I would buy are mostly casual games like solitiare/scrabble that are only a couple dollars.

So you've actually surveyed a sufficient portion of the enourmous store to come to such a quantitative conclusion?

Meh, he's not too far off from the truth.  There are a lot of terrible games for the iPhone and finding the good ones can be a huge store since the App Store is just so poorly organized (though it's done about as well as it can be).

He may be right; I'm just saying there's no way those numbers can be accurate.

And before I forget, the free Risk game is pretty fun (AI could be better and it rapes your battery, though). And I've spent most of my time on Tap Sudoku. And then there's also that super fun surgeon game.

^^ well then let's make a thread where we collect all the good iphone games together.. >_>

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Alive 4-ever is an awesome game. I probably spent around 6 hours in a 3 $ game. And that's only single player.

I just mentioned these in another thread:

geoDefense (tower defense);
Star Defense (tower defense - my favourite on this platform);
Real Racing (Racing - Great in short spurts);
Knights Onrush (strategy/defense - wildly addicting protecting your castle from oncoming enimies); and
Reign of Swords (strategy game much like Advance Wars. Amazingly fun. Haven't tried the sequel yet, though).

^^
I think they removed the reign of swords sequel from the app store.

I think you're right. I wonder why... I can't find anything on it.

Surely they'll have it back up some time.

I just checked appulo.us. The funny thing is that if an app gets removed from the app store you can get the app from there I just now found that out when I searched for reign of swords 2.
