With my G1 with Wifi or 3g it is bearable. Using edge it is so slow.... I can't do rich text reply though and sometimes the pages load wrong.

I can post to here from my 2G iPod touch. The good think about the iPhone/Touch is that you can get apps which browse the web faster. FastWeb Free is pretty good. It basically strips down a website to it's base essentials.
