the actual reason i made this thread is not to start a war but to prove some ps3 fans wrong when they said uncharted 2 graphics are not possible on xbox 360

...by posting screenshots (most likely from cutscene) of a game that is not yet even close to be released?

You sir, sure know how to put those PS3 fans in their place.

what do you mean. the screen shots i posted most probably isn't CGI if you actually watched the screen shot which was in the link you would realise that all those shots were similar to what you claim are CGI.

"Most probably" isn't a key term I'm familiar with when it comes to comparative threads. I've learned to not take so called "look like in game" shots since KZ2 days. Not falling into that hype again.

wake me up when you get the actual review for the game and we will have our comparison.

sure then lets wait for the review then i will a comparison thread. would be more fair

spring 2010 then ok good luck till then :)

For me even Mass effect 2, Bioshock2 and Splinter Cell: conviction is more impressive than Alan wake in the technicall deparment.

But I got say Alan wake has style and I am very interested in the story and gameplay mechanics it has. Pity I don't have a 360, might have to play on a rented 360.

Uncharted 2 looks better in action, seen the wake video, but i will reserve my final judgment when alan wake gets finally released

Uncharted 2 has all in-game cutscenes, no CG.
Uncharted 2 has more details in screen.

So... Uncharte 2 looks better.

Alan Wake doesn't impress in graphics, the new Splinter Cell looks better on 360.

This is my opinion, but Alan Wake has not been released yet.

The cutscenes are FMV rendered from the engine, which means they use a larger polygon budget and better models during those scenes without regard to frame rate.  Not a valid comparison.

Uncharted 2's textures look way better...Alan Wake has superior lighting..but overall Uncharted 2 win because of its far more rich colour pallete and better character models...

Off topic : But God of War III...that game is in a different league...

here is my comparison to show you just how fair the posters comparison was, please next time try to do fair comparisons like mine.

I'll wait till Alan Wake releases to judge.

na, there are FMVs, you are correct on that, but they use the same ingame assets, the difference is higher post processing power that consoles can't really do, models are the same though.

Alan wake reminds me of BC(British Columbia) a lot.. is that wheres its set?

Graphically- I think UC2 takes the cake coz the game has more stuff going on at most given times than AW, although AW is the king of lighting at the moment, and graphically almost....

Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.
