Considering the general aversion that publishers have to doing anything that hasn't been thrice proven a successful formula, I'd say WM+ support is doing pretty good. It's halfway to being a default feature for Wii action and sports games where it would be an asset.

"The worst part about these reviews is they are [subjective]--and their scores often depend on how drunk you got the media at a Street Fighter event." — Mona Hamilton, Capcom Senior VP of Marketing

Dougsdad makes a thread about how the Wii doesn't interest him anymore.
This hasn't been done before..
Pixel Art can be fun.

But on the flip-side, why not add it to games that could benefit. I just watched the Mario and Sonic Winter Olympics video review on Gametrailers and they talked about imprecise controls. Why is it not in there? |
SEGA can't get Sonic right, what makes you think SEGA would get Sonic & Mario right?
Pixel Art can be fun.

Don't be a jerk. The WM+ was the one thing getting me back into my Wii. I played Tiger every day for weeks.
Keep this in mind when reading what I type...
I've been gaming longer than many of you have been alive.

I'm glad you like the accessory but you shouldn't blame NSMBWii and Mario & Sonic for its underuse.

Dude, you´re right.
Look, nobody (i mean regular people) buy the wii to play Muramasa. They want motion controls.
They want to call friends and family and say "you see? It moves like my arm!"
You see all these stupid add ons like tennis rackets and golf clubs for the wiimote? They sold like hotcakes, and yet they only came to be a LITTLE less useless after Motion Plus arrived. But people bought that before, because they want to be as "inside" the game as possible.
And they´re right! Regular games got too old! 1-on-1 Motion controls can make everything new again.
The lack of a Lightsaber motion plus game is really the worse offender....
Im not felling well today (it has nothing to do with the motion plus support. If that was the case, i should be felling sick for the past 3 months)

I occasionally enjoy Wii Sports Resort with my son and had a good bit of fun with Tiger Woods and Grand Slam Tennis although I've now traded those 2 in because I've mostly lost interest in my Wii outside of Mario games. Anyway, has anyone noticed how poorly the WM+ is being supported? Even 1st party titles like Mario and Sonic Winter Olympics aren't using it. I'm pretty sure even Nintendo's major holiday release of New Super Mario Brothers Wii doesn't use it either. What a waste! The Wii Motion Plus (for awhile at least) was the one thing getting me interested in the Wii again. |
As with the first game, that's a 3rd party title; not 1st party. And NSMBW would have absolutely 0 use for it.
Here is the list of announced/released titles that support WM+:
Academy of Champions
Baseball Blast
Cruiseship Vacation Games
Food Network: Cook or be Cooked
Gladiator A.D.
Grand Slam Tennis
Avatar
Kids Sports - Crazy Mini-Golf
NHL 2K10
Rage The Gladiator
Red Steel 2
Shaun White Snowboarding: World Stage
Span Smasher
The Grinder
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2010
Virtua Tennis 2009
Wii Sports Resort
Unannounced titles that will have WM+ support:
Zelda Wii
18 total so far.
The rEVOLution is not being televised
The userbase for WM+ is still relatively small right now (~6M).
I think once it gets to a point where maybe 25% of Wii owners possess it, support may minimally increase. There are still millions of people (myself included) who don't own it or need nothing for it quite yet.

SaviorX,
Developers/Publishers do not have to wait that long. They can have Wii motion plus bundled with their game. There can be two SKUs, one with motion plus and one without. Red Steel was going to be bundled with motion plus this holiday but was pushed back. NHL2K is supposed to be bundled with Wii motion pluse.

If Nintendo is successful at the moment, it’s because they are good, and I cannot blame them for that. What we should do is try to be just as good.----Laurent Benadiba
