Forums - Sony - Gran Turismo 5 Packaging Reveals Three Discs

Disc 1: Single player, and Over 9000 Cars.
Disc 2: Multiplayer, and Bonus DLC Cars, and Tracks because 9000 isn't enough.
Disc 3: Extras, and Stuff.

Not a bad guess but would PD really split Single player and Multiplayer into two discs?

I can't imagine they'd split the game over 2 discs.

Why introduce this amazing new futureproof format only to announce that it's not actually big enough?

I remeber a time when a 10 GB hard drive was supposed to be future proof...I wonder what happened????

Past Avatar picture!!!

Don't forget your helmet there, Master Chief!

I surely hope the whole game is only on one Blu-ray disc. One of the complaints from the reviewers about Forza 3 was it's long load times. I can't imagine the load times for GT5 if it took up three blu-ray disc. Even a HDD would take time to load that large of memory.

With 200 GB I guess I could clean house , change my car's oil by the time the first race finish loading.

Here is a shot of the box and 3 discs from the video.

The top one (black) clearly is the GT5 game disc as all PS3 games have that black bar and you can see white writing which could be "Gran Turismo 5".

The middle one (red) im not sure what it could be. Possibly Gran Turismo TV content.

The last (blue) is what all Blu-ray movie cases look like so im guessing "The Making of Gran Turismo 5" movie.

sounds reasonable to me, it has to be a special edition of the game.

Disc 1: Gran Turismo PS1 Collection

Disc 2: Gran Turismo PS2 Collection

Disc 3: Gran Turismo PS3

And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Fuck yes it would sell BILLIONS

Predictions

GT5 will sell 3.2million + first week on ps3 (made 06 March 2010)

FFXIII Versus will have higher Metacritic scores than FFXIII after the first month.... Bet going on with perpride - loser changes sig for a month

KH3 will be PS3 EXCLUSIVE - willing to bet removal from vgchartz for a month

XD @ all you people complaining about having 2 discs in Forza 3...aint Carma a bitch????
On the flip side, for those who really don't care about having multiple discs (the non fanboys) , this means GT5 must have a lot of content...awesome!

HAHAHAHA best post of the day!

OT: Why are they using  the SLS AMG as the cover car. I sure as hell know theres gonna be alot of better cars than that.

Actually the problem with 2 discs in Forza is mostly the lack of HDD on many a few 360's.

Like I said though, if prologue was 1.7gb I don't see how this could be 3 bluray disks, considering the amount of cars and tracks in prologue and the amount of cars and tracks announced for GT5 full.  As much as I would like 3 bluray disks of game content, that is most probably a special edition package with making-of, a big fat manual and that sort of things.

FIXED for accuracy. Turned out the only people complaining about that issue were people who don't even own a 360.

I would not be suprised if ONE disc was extra content, but I have a strong suspicion they split the actual game up into two discs. we shall see.

...obviously that works 2 ways?
