lets show the facts.. -Months of rumors and leaks are finally ceased after Ps3 slim and pricecut are confrimed -PS3 slim Releases at start of the tracking period -PS3 gets $100 price cut at start of tracking period -Only weeks before a price cut goes into effect nintendo announces a $50 price cut for the 27th - only 8 days of tracking period are in correlation with the wii price cut. -npd data reveals the gap of the wii and ps3

I'll try to stay on topic, but what is your point? even with a 100$ price cut, its still 50$ more than the wii.
The wii audience is not the same as the HD consoles. There is some overlap, but not much.
The ps3 increasing sales should be in no way shape or form compared to the wii. Also, they will never eat into eachothers sales. They are in completely different worlds.
