Forums - Nintendo - Miyamoto on Zelda Wii: His Wii-Dream project

Well im pleased it's going to take advantage of the wii-mote well. I hope this becomes the Wii's killer-app after New Super Mario Bros. Wii takes all the spotlight.

Please come in 2010...

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

Why must you be such a tease Shigeru.

Pixel Art can be fun.

Is my prediciton coming true? A Combination of first and third person Zelda with Wii Motion Plus? Everything Miyamoto has said so far points to it. His references to looking towards the 'events in WiiSports Resort' to get an idea for what the next Zelda is going to have in it, as well as his constant hinting at heavy use of the Wiimote. And then there's the comments that the game will be 'something completely different from the Ocarina of Time/Wind Waker formula'.

In my mind, I just don't see anything else it could be, but then, its Nintendo. They could create an entire new genre of video games for all we know. Heck, they did with Zelda before...

Six upcoming games you should look into:

Funny.

His dreams are the same as mine!

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

I kinda want a back-to-basics sort of thing. No themes, no gimmicks, just Hyrule. A veritable series reboot.

Though i suppose it might be too late for that, with the Master Sword-girl. But that's what i want.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

He knows how to hype a game without showing anything doesn't he?

I wonder what his position in the development of this game will be?

Does anyone have info on what it is? Director, producer or designer?

I hope it isn't anything big, yet deals with the core gameplay aspect of the game. Miyamoto is much better at that area. For everything else,  I'd rather Aonuma take charge. His masterpiece, Majora's Mask, is my favorite of the series, only competing with A Link to the Past.

zelda wii...

isn't it funny that the most hyped up games are always NINTENDO games?

just sayin..

Well the industry is kinda based on Nintendo's revival of it. Something that is funny is how everybody mocks Nintendo until they create or define a genre, then  they praise them as gods, then a few years past without a genre maker/innovator and they hate Nintendo again. They do have the "highest" legacy to live up to, and that is why everybody hypes/expects so much from them.
