Bleh, SF hasn't evolved since the SNES. That bothers me. Why do they keep making new games if the series will never evolve? No thanks, I won't support this milkfest. Mario Party changes more between games than SF does.

I essentially agree naznatips, but I think that it stays so similar because of the highly competitive fanbase. Starcraft 2 looks like a mere update of the first starcraft. After aaaaallll this time there will be mildly improved graphics and a few new units. Why? The highly competitive nature of the game. It was perfect the first time around, and the players had the game down to a sweet science. You don't want to mess too much with perfection, lest you piss off the people buying the game. Alpha 3 is definitely more complex than Street Fighter 2, but it's still a very gradual evolution. You never want to stray too far from the perfection that everyone was used to.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

This "trailer" reveals nothing. Other than the fact that Ken and Ryu will be in the game. (OMGZ!!!)

But when have they ever really created a "new" Street Fighter since the SNES? All the milkage, etc. you speak comes from SF2 and it's millions of variants. SF3 was a good step up from SF2, at the time it was created, with SF3: 3rd Strike ultimately perfecting SF3. Since SF3: 3rd Strike, which came out about ten years ago, there hasn't been a single "new" Street Fighter at all, except for the horrible 3D SF: EX. This is far different from MP 1-8. It would be like Nintendo sticking with MP2, re-releasing it with minor differences every six months.

SFIV could turn out very well.  Especially if they strive for the artstyle displayed in the trailer.

Street Fighter has the nastolgia factor going for it, but it needs to do some really awesome stuff to compete with the other fighting games that are hitting the market these days.  That said I hope it does well regardless of platform.

I really would like to take the controller and have Ryu obliterate Bison one more time.

The only beat'em ups I ever liked were Soul Calibur and SSB. Street Fighter seems too hard for my tastes.

i liked SF2 alot but never really gotten to play sf3 cause of the combo stuff. yes i love the combos in 2 but 3 over did it. kinda like mortal kombat 2 to mk3. take out the kombos in 3 and keep the run button and that game would've been awesome but kombos killed it bad. i think that is why the last three mk's didnt do as well as mk2 cause of the combo system sucked. i thought the competition from mk2 was good enough and to make your own combos was fun then having to just mash buttons to get them to work. hopefully boon realizes this and goes back to what mk2 was in gameplay but make it 2d except when you do the fatalities then go 3d. and add in teh make your own wiht a seperate button combination to trigger it. but make it easy not hard.

dick cheney loves me, he wants to take me hunting

I can see many people buying it for the nastaliga alone, but I doubt anybody but harcore Street Fighter fans, will truly appriciate it.

I've got 6 different Street Fighter games, I don't think I need another one.

Sorry. I guess I'll just never understand the Street Fighter craze. I got bored of it at least 13 years ago. Now, if they went for a flowing ink cell shaded style that this trailer shows (sort of a copy of Okami), then maybe I would give it a chance, but as it stands, this is a series that I am more than happy to let die.
