Since 2006, I have known about a game called Project Offset for the PC.

The early tech demos for the game from GDC 06 were absolutely jaw dropping at the time. The dev team was a small startup with the founding members coming off other development teams as friends to start their own company. The game was meant to be a hybrid of FPS & RPG. I eagerly awaited its release.

Fast forward 3 years later and it looks like the team is still hiring and expanding staff to meet the goals of its ambitious project.

On their website there are a couple new videos from GDC '09 that I haven't checked out yet so its good to see progress is still being made. I really, really want to see how this game turns out and play it someday!!

Yeah, I remember it from about 2006 and remembered seeing something from them for the GDC 2009 videos but haven't heard anything else.

I just assumed they still haven't really found a publisher.

Thanks, can't believe I haven't heard of it. I feel really out of the PC gaming loop even though its where I do most of my gaming. I'll have a proper look when I get home.

I read about it in a xbox magazine so apparantly it is/was comming to 360 aswell. But without any great detail on what it is about or what makes it so special I don't see a reason to follow it.

I doubt that it is coming to Xbox. It is being developed by Offset Studio. In 2007 or 2008 they were bought by Intel. I believe that they are going to use Intel's newest chip to show off the game

i had been wondering if a game was ever going to come out of that amazing demo they showed. I thought it was a tech demo for the PS3, if they ever get a publisher, I wouldnt be surprised to see this on consoles

Ive been following this since sam mcgrath was on g4 with his tech demo. Cant wait to hear the system specs.
