This is a great success, no questions about it. Nintendo's goal to sell atleast 10 millions is now a given. The question is now how much this game can sell. The game seems to have very good legs and should be one of  best seller of December as well because of people who have not bought it yet and want to offer it as a gift for the holidays of their kids.

At the moment, the game is tracking above Wii fit in America but behind Mario Kart. Personally, I see a total sale of around 20 millions in the world. Around 10 or 11 millions in March should be possible.

 

What do you think?

That also means that Nintendo is winning his bet to install the Wii motion + in the maximum of houses quickly. With the Wii motion + sold with other games or alone, the number should be big already.  Something like 7 or 8 millions?  Is that the fastest seller among the upgrades of controller?

I put off getting WSR for a while, but I finally did a couple weeks ago, and it couldn't be more popular with my friends. We've literally played everything that we can with only one WM+ device (haven't bought a second).

Favorites so far:
Bowling -- the revenge of Wii Sports
Archery
Frisbee golf (masochism; we all suck)
Swordfighting -- the big fight mode

I know the above is not directly on topic, but as an anecdote, I can easily see how popular -- and infectious -- this is.
I predict that 5 million is only the beginning.
