Forums - Sony - should i buy......

should i buy folklore on the ps3???

It has a 75 on metacritic and it got a 9/10 on IGN

I'm not to big on games without trophies anymore but this one really looks like it deserves a shot.

SO.....what do you guys think? Did any of you guys love/hate the game?

I played it and thought it was great. It uses 6 axis in a great way and has a terrific art style. In terms of an RPG it's pretty mediocre though...

^^ meh, if i wanted to play an RPG i would get fallout already....thanks for the feedback, this game really interests me

I actually tried it very recently and it's a good game. I think it's more 7.5/10 than 9.0/10. I was very impressed with the graphics and the music is great. The story is not awesome and the things you have to do in the game are not very interesting but the gameplay is good.

It depends how much you would pay for it though. I would say max 30$.

no. i would get fallout 3-best rpg i ever played

Folklore is one of my favorite games on the PS3. I love the story and the numerous storytelling techniques it uses - though it takes a while for the story to kick in. It also uses the sixaxis feature pretty well. It's more of an action game than an RPG. Another nice thing about the game was the battle system where you use folks for fighting. A lot of folks attack differently, so it keeps fighting fresh. The music in Folklore is wonderful, as well as the art style.

The downside is that it's very repetitive. You are forced to use both characters to finish the game, and the levels/bosses for both are the same. You go through the same level and fight the same bosses twice! There are also some framerate issues and slight pauses - the optional install doesn't really help.

Get it for $30 or less. It's a good game but very repetitive.

You should rent it or if there's a demo try it out.

Yes, it a very underrated game

Its a good game, not great though. Its for fans of RPG's and moster collector type games.

Also it has lots of DLC
