No price cut, but there are a few retailer incentives rumored to be coming soon. The type of incentives coming soon are mostly in the form of free retailer gift cards with purchase at select retailers (Target / Best Buy). I have heard that there will be a $50 gift card on the Elite and a $20 gift card on the Arcade available at least once possibly twice at both retailers this holiday season. They will not be offered at both retailers during the same week. If you are able to wait until black friday (the day after thanksgiving) you are likely to see some sort of Arcade bundle at Wal-Mart but I do not know what that bundle is yet. Again this is only rumor.

Keep an eye on Amazon, they like to do match these type of deals.

They have to have something planned for the Arcade. I find it hard to believe that this Holiday they will go into it with the Arcade at the same price as last year without any games bundled with it.



Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

First question is if you are looking forward to Versus why on earth would you "sell" your ps3?  You do realize that it is exclusive to the ps3 and has as of yet not be announced for any other platform?  To purchase a wii (good choice) and later to pick up a 360 that as far as I know will not host a verison of versus, just for the happenstance that it may come out seems a little odd to me.  The wii I can see for all the exclusive 1st party games from yesteryear, but I want to say since you no longer have the ps3 that you will definately get to play final fantasy 13.  Other than that your reasoning alone just seems mighty 'strange' to me.

 

 

Mainly because I could still play FFXIII.  I'm selling the PS3 though because I need the money for some other bills I have.  Also because I can only afford used games atm, and you can find many of those for under $20.00 for the 360 on ebay, but a lot of the used PS3 games sell in the $20.00 to $30.00 range instead of the $10 to $20.00 range.

Okay I understand and I hope your misfortunes in this bad economy get better; I did not know the games were selling much cheaper on ebay (you are correct they are higher for the ps3 on ebay).  Well at least you can weather the storm and when you do you can still get in on the HD love with your 360.
