I've decided to go ahead and get a new 360.  Do you think there will be a price cut announced on Arcade models anytime soon?

I believe they have to do something if they don't want to come in last every week as they've been doing recently.

i don't think so....EVEN if the 360 were to get a price cut, i doubt it would spike sales....microsoft knows this, so i think they will just keep the prices at where it is

I just sold my PS3 Slim, and I'm thinking about getting a Wii. However, with a Wii I'd be missing out on quite a bit of the multi-plat third party games I'm interested in.

I think if MS brings the price of Arcade down to $150, then you can find new ones for less on ebay.

Of course if Versus XIII doesn't come to the 360, then I would have to get another PS3 Slim too.

As far as this year is concerned the answer is no. There will be bundles this holiday but I think thats about it. Next year I can see some price cuts across the board. What time in the year I don't know, but I know there will be some sort of price cut/ Natal bundle.

First question is if you are looking forward to Versus why on earth would you "sell" your ps3?  You do realize that it is exclusive to the ps3 and has as of yet not be announced for any other platform?  To purchase a wii (good choice) and later to pick up a 360 that as far as I know will not host a verison of versus, just for the happenstance that it may come out seems a little odd to me.  The wii I can see for all the exclusive 1st party games from yesteryear, but I want to say since you no longer have the ps3 that you will definately get to play final fantasy 13.  Other than that your reasoning alone just seems mighty 'strange' to me.

No it won't. Just get one now there reliable and worth it.

Mainly because I could still play FFXIII.  I'm selling the PS3 though because I need the money for some other bills I have.  Also because I can only afford used games atm, and you can find many of those for under $20.00 for the 360 on ebay, but a lot of the used PS3 games sell in the $20.00 to $30.00 range instead of the $10 to $20.00 range.
