I think its possible, but probably not this gen. It would be an outrage. They can only pull it off if they deliver more content, they are already adding things like last.fm. For 100 bucks I want a netflix like subscription included, I want new tv shows, I want free games or free dlc. At this point its simply not worth it. Its hardly worth the 60 bucks (im getting it for 27 euro online though) MS is promiting it for. Look at the competition, xbox live is better then psn, but not 60 bucks better imho, or hardly.

True. Rather than just look for new subscribers take more from those already in the house.

There seems to be a lot of x360 owners that won't be too bothered about a Live price increase so why not do it.

Anyhow, now that Pachter has said it is likely I think that makes it unlikely.
