Tons of stories about people asking dumb questions when I worked at EB, but my favourite was a 40 year old mom coming in 'looking for PCP for my son'. Her husband was with her and you could see he was embarassed. He was shaking his head, trying to correct her.

lol, when I worked at GameStop a lady came in and asked for a PCP. I just lolled to myself and showed her the PSP, then I showed her a DS and told her about that so she would know that better handhelds do, in fact, exist. I showed her all the cool features on it, and the wide variety of games both new and used. I also told her it doesn't cost as much. She was much more interested in the DS, so I sold her that. lol.

Your stories about your escapades at Gamestop are one of the quiet horrors of my evenings. When I am given pause and made to reflect upon the influence that one person with an agenda can have in terms of the experiences afforded to other people, my blood runs cold.

the third one is just as bad. making such comments as 'the fact this game has no blood shows just how kiddy nintendo is' (refering to fire emblrm) and 'Halo 3 s the most successful game ever selling 225 million in its first week alone'

You cannot be serious.

Lot's of people I knew used to think that "Nintendo" was what gaming system's were called. Even when I got a PS1, they'd say, let's go play Nintendo.

Well that's how it is in america. In europe it's all playstation. :p

Check out my game about moles ^

I remember a Swedish game magazine having an article about a Nintendo/Microsoft partnership. This was before this gen. If I remember correctly they even had a picture of Miyamoto holding an Xbox controller or something like that. Of course it was a joke, but it was well done.

I don't think my parents have any trouble with console companies, though they have a hard time remembering some game titles. My mom usually says "that something fantasy" when referring to Final Fantasy.
One of my ex's mom was a true Zelda fanatic and when Gamecube and Xbox had been released she called and asked for advice on which console to buy. I said she should buy the GC so she could play Zelda, but she wanted an Xbox because it had a DVD-player...it took 15 minutes minimum to explain that you can't play Zelda on Xbox...

Seems more like ignorance of your friend than anything Nintendo or Microsoft are doing wrong.
