The interesting thing is this guy gives some (flawed) opinions as to why the PS3 will outsell the Wii, but he hasn't given any backing to his claim that it will also outsell the PS2, the 360, the PSP, and the DS (which would mean it is outselling everything)

I'll take that bet as well, in fact I'd bet a one month ban that the PS3 will not outsell everything (in fact i'd do it just for the Wii alone)

It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!! Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

Just heard what the analyst had to say...

And I got to say, not ONCE did I hear the man state an actual fact, and I think thats a problem. Yes I know that there are a lot of crappy Wii games out there...just look at all the review sites...but when he is making his predictions of how the PS3 will pick up at 2008 and everything, it just seemed to me that his opinion was as factual as a local vgchartz member. Heck, I can make a prediction right now that as long as there are good, quality games on systems, any system can become the console leader.

Gee, I guess it isn't that hard, huh? No facts, just opinions...yet no one can object...brilliant!

funny thing back during the early days of the ps1, saturn and 64 gameplayers magazine used sony to published the numbers for all 3 consoles

I love how they lump all the Sony Consoles in one bar to manipulate their data and then seperate the Wii and DS. I'd like to see what they do when the PS2 drops put of the market. XD

Xbox 360 and the Wii are selling wayyyyy too strong for the PS3 to be feeling too great at this point in its shelf life. At this point Sony was counting on at least 12 million sold. They missed that mark by about give or take 7 million.

Highlight of the video: when this "analyst" (who clearly is nothing of the sort) was asked if PS3 games would sell better than the Wii, he responded with this line:

"PS3 games should do better now that we have price cuts in place, it's getting cheaper..." (emphasis added)

That's some seriously unbiased journalism there.
