I went through my PS3 games and 15/21 of them are exclusive. What I opened my previous post with is pretty clearly false. There's a clear relationship between exclusivity and my interest in them, though this is probably a quality issue.

Anyone who still thinks a Microsoft-published 360 exclusive will eventually make it to the PC is in denial. They haven't published a new PC game in nearly two years, and they've since shut down all of their PC development studios. As a PC gamer I wish Microsoft hadn't abandoned the platform, but they did.
As for the original question, I've never cared about exclusives. Many of my favorite games are multiplatform, and in my ideal world, every game would be on every platform capable of handling it.

Agreed. PGR and Forza has never hit the PC. Also Fable 2 and 3 will most likely never see PC releases. It also looks like PC users *may* get the shaft on Halo 3. And ODST? Yeah right.
The only game that is supposed to hit the PC within the next year or two from MS is Gears of War 2 with extra content supposedly by the end of 2010, which is like two years later anyways.
It's just that simple.

The reason I bought a gamecube was for the exclusives and it's the reason I bought a Wii too. Exclusives will never go away. The big console manufacturers will always have in-house studios. I don't see GTA as a real PS2 exclusive because it wasn't actually made by Sony and that's the reason why it was eventually seen on X box.

So finally people are figuring out that the Wii is the only console this gen with true exclusivity. True, some games have been ports or multi-platform (RE4, Okami, LEGO Star Wars/Batman, The Simpsons Game, etc), but the majority of games for the Wii are only for Wii. And a large part of that simply is because they can only be made for Wii or because companies feel the consumers for the other consoles wouldn't buy the games if they ported them over.
Still, I don't think its the exclusivity that is selling games on Wii. That's more of a draw for the 'HD' market. And it hardly matters because a year later most of those games get ported to the other console anyway with upgrades...

No. I prefer multiplatforms. That way you don't have to own many consoles.
