gutted, E74 error, tried using PS3 HDMI cable, but still comes up, im failry sure its died!

E74 is covered with the three year warranty. Was it a more tan three years old 360?

e74 is covered by 3 year warranty. but if your console is older than that then its really easy to fix. Look up xbox 360 X-clamp mod repair. Ive done it to both of my 360s and neither have had any problems since.

got it pre-owned 2 years ago, checked the serial number online, says "not covered"

oh well, till next month ill be on just my PS3 and Wii

looked it up, seems kinda complicated tbh, like I said im lucky enough to have money coming in next month, ill stick to my plan of upgrading to the Super Elite for now. (ty anyway though)

SciFiBoy. This is just a thought but the last time that I had the rrod it said that it wasn't covered online. But it really was. That is talking about the regular warranty.
