Forums - Nintendo - Will there be NSMBW Shortages?

Will there be NSMBW shortages? will it be like Wii Fit and not be easy to find for months?

i'm wondering this because i've never pre-ordered a game before but i think i'll make an execption for this if shortages are expected.

Why should there be shortages? This is Nintendo software we're talking about. Hardware is a different story.

Edit: ioi beat me to it.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

idk, but I know talking with a salesperson at Gamestop they were working that angle to get me to pre-order!

The Interweb is about overreaction, this is what makes it great!

...Imagine how boring the interweb would be if everyone thought logically?

While Nintendo has been accused of not shipping enough discs to 3rd party companies in the past the only sustained shortages have been hardware related. At worst I would expect a possible shortage in the first few days but that is it.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Well if you want to be safe it never hurts to preorder.

I should hope Nintendo is past all that, but pre-order just in case!

WELL if people want the game to be the hardware pusher they expect (I don't), then there can' t be any shortages.

Mario Kart Wii and Wii Fit were surely hardware movers. Not only that they both had massive shortages. So what is the reasoning behind this having to be in stock to move hardware? I just provided two cases where they both were hard to get.

yes

it's not packed with any kind or peripheral or anything, so there shouldn't be any shortages.

if there are shortages, they will only be temporary (say a few days or a week)

i would be more worried about wii sports resort, wiifit plus, ect.
